How to get a Pat Trap to ignore the interrupter
and oscillate as set by your limit switch adjustments:
- >Turn machine power off.
Remember, all wiring in a Pat Trap is 110 VAC (including control).
- Remove the interrupter and place a jumper across pins 2 and 3.
(Pins 2 and 3 are at the six o'clock position).
- Restore machine power.
When in AUTO mode, machine will cycle back and forth under control of your limit switch adjustment only.
This may be useful if you want to practice full angle targets of making adjustments to the limit switches.
To set your limit switches for a regulation 2 hole target:
- At the moment the machine stops at the end of the LEFT stroke, flip the Auto switch to the MANUAL position.
- Machine is now stopped at the LEFT limit switch.
(Left limit switch is the switch on the right side of the machine as you face out of the trap house and maintains RIGHT target control).
-
- Release a target and observe if it is a straight away from station 4-1/2.
You are about to adjust your RIGHT angle targets.
- Adjust the LEFT limit switch (if required), re-tighten and return to AUTO mode.
- Verify your adjustment and re-adjust if necessary until your right targets are straight-aways at station 4-1/2.
- If you have a machine that uses a two-hole spacer, insert the spacer against the adjusted switch and move the right limit switch against it (adjusting your LEFT angle).
- If you do not have a two hole spacer, repeat the above adjustment for your LEFT angles by adjusting the right limit switch using station 1-1/2 as a reference.
- Turn off the power, remove your jumper and re-insert the interrupter.
