Trapshooting is an organized outdoor sport where clay targets are "launched" by a machine,
with the intent of being shot at and broken by a shooter using a shotgun and normal trap target shells.
The McHenry Sportsmen's Club maintains five regulation trap fields equipped with state of the art fully automatic target "throwers" equipped with voice release,
and beautiful picnic grounds which may be enjoyed by members and their guests.
Visitors are welcome, but as with members, visitors must adhere to all rules and regulations required to maintain a safe and orderly trapshooting facility.
Memberships are currently available.
For everyone's safety
the use of our facilities are strictly prohibited when the club is not open for regular club operations.
Guests and New Shooters are always welcome.
